Strach Finishing was born from the idea that quality, craftsmanship, and positive customer connection are of the utmost importance. We have had the opportunity to provide our expertise for custom home builders, private homeowners, commercial projects, and custom woodwork requests. We take pride in providing our customers with a product and the quality that they expect and that we demand from ourselves.

Colin Strach, the owner & operator of Strach Finishing Ltd., takes great pride in meeting with each client to get a clear understanding and vision for their one-of-a-kind project. Quality is not just in the finished project, it is also a part of customer care and satisfaction.

We offer a wide range of carpentry services including, but not limited to, finishing carpentry, cabinet installations, railings, renovations, decks, fences, and even home furniture and décor projects.

Operating mainly out of Sherwood Park, Strach Finishing Ltd. has done a variety of projects in and around Edmonton, Parkland County, Spruce Grove, Sherwood Park, and Strathcona County.

I am a Journeyman Red & Blue Seal Carpenter and the Owner/ Operator of Strach Finishing Ltd. My passion for woodworking began more than 10 years ago. While working on little projects around home or learning on the family farm, I have always known that I have a lot of patience, I pay attention, and have an eye for detail when it comes to woodworking or finishing projects.

My career began in the Modular Home industry where I learned that there were two divisions in Carpentry, those being framing and finishing. While I had the luxury of learning both framing and finishing, I quickly realized that finishing is where I excelled.

​

While working in the Modular Home industry, productivity became more important than quality. And that didn’t sit right with me. My drive for quality, precise and accurate work, and the customer getting what they paid for, is of the utmost importance to me. So I left the Modular Home industry and Strach Finishing Ltd. was born; where ‘Quality is Our Priority’.

​

Since I began Strach Finishing Ltd., I have had the privilege of working with custom home builders, private homeowners and making your biggest or simplest dreams or ideas a reality! I also have the privilege to hold a Carpentry Instructor position at a local trade school for Women.

​

When I am not doing all things Carpentry, I also coach Club Volleyball and enjoy spending time with my family.
